This opening par four plays easier than it appears. With the change in elevation there is more room to the right than it seems. From the gold tees a good tee shot will provide a mid to short iron into this severely right-to-left sloped green. A par 4 is a good score for this opening hole.

Do not let this short par three fool you. An errant tee shot will cause an easy bogey; however a well-placed tee shot may also yield an exciting hole-in-one! Both a back left and front right pin will funnel all shots directly to the hole. Be careful of taking too much club

TThis short par four plays 2 clubs longer than it appears. Playing severely uphill, most approach shots will end up short of the green; be sure to double-check your club selection. Not much trouble on the fourth but beware of this tricky left-to-right sloped green. A putt from above the hole will be difficult to keep on the green…

This uphill par three is tougher than it appears. With a severely left-to right and back-to-front sloped green, a ball that hits the back left fringe may end up on the right front collar... An easy par three that requires precise club selection.

Welcome to Ivy Hills! Due to an extreme elevation change this par five plays shorter than it appears. The best-placed tee shot is one that is down the left center of the fairway. This large and gently sloped green will yield many birdies to the aggressive player. Remember to not let the scenery blur your focus…

This mid-length par four can play very difficult. There is more fairway to the left than appears off the tee so be sure to avoid the water that lines this wide fairway. An uphill approach will require 2 extra clubs to attack this pin. This large, back-to-front sloped green will yield many a three putt to the aggressive player.

Pro Pointer:
Hitting the fairway is crucial on this mid-length par four. With severe elevation changes from the tee it can be difficult to place your tee shot. The best tee shot is one that is played off of the 150-yard pole. Proper club selection on your approach is a must to this well guarded green.

Pro Pointer:
This short par four is a risk reward to the aggressive player. A narrow alley off the tee, O.B left and an array of bunkers surrounding the green says “lay-up,” however it is just over 300 yards and typically plays downwind. The smart play is to hit an iron and take a wedge into this very penalizing green. The approach makes this a great finish to the front nine. Your approach shot is the key to scoring on the ninth.

It’s all-uphill from here! There is little to no room left of this fairway so be sure to favor the right side of this par four. Seldom does a player take enough club on the approach at the tenth, get your yardage, trust it, then add two clubs and swing hard… This hole demands shotmaking; trouble surrounds this green and the wind can be tricky. Club selection is the key here at the start of the back nine.

This is the second hole in the stretch of four at Ivy Hills. This long par four will invite the big tee shot. Measuring nearly 500 yards, a well-struck tee ball will produce a mid to long iron into this large 2 tiered green. A par is great at the par four eleventh!

An uphill par three that plays dead into the prevailing winds. If you have to miss this narrow green, miss it short. Left or right may never be found and too long will make holding this green a challenge. Proper club selection and humility are crucial at the par three 12th.

This seemingly easy par four requires finesse, not strength. The best angle into this green is from the right side of the fairway, but resist the temptation to cut off too much. A severe hillside and heather to the right will make par an impossible feat. A rewarding par four for the smart player. Favor the left side of this green on your approach.

This dogleg left par five provides more room to the left than imagined. A good tee shot is one that runs the left side of the fairway and draws towards the heather. This well guarded green is accessible in two to the big hitter but the safe play is to lay up and hit a short iron into this large three-tiered green. Be sure to watch the tops of the trees for wind direction on your approach.

This long par three plays much shorter than it appears. Downhill and with the prevailing winds behind you it may be two or three clubs less than thought. An easy par three to begin the final leg on the back nine.

A long par five due to the elevation change and prevailing winds. This hole is reachable in two to the big hitter but anything right of the green may find O.B due to the quick drop-off right of the green. With an uphill approach club selection is the key to scoring at the 16th. A back pin position will require two extra clubs.

This challenging par four requires strategy and shotmaking off the tee. An aggressive drive may roll through the fairway and rest at the base of the green but an iron play will yield a mid to short iron into this large right-to-left sloping green. With a mid-iron approach, confidence and accuracy are critical to scoring. A par 4 is a good score on the 17th.

Position is everything off the tee; an errant tee shot will take par right out of the equation. A good drive down the left side of the fairway will produce a mid to short iron approach into this large, severely undulated green. Favor the left side on your approach, as balls will funnel right into this green. Best to be below the hole as balls putt from above the hole may be pitching back up onto the green from about 20 yards out…
